North Shore REALTORS® Annual Meeting
As part of North Shore REALTORS® (NSR) Annual Membership Meeting, the NSR Community Involvement and Investment Committee is seeking donations for Wellspring House, a nonprofit organization in Gloucester. Wellspring’s mission is to inspire families and adults on the North Shore to achieve employment and financial security through stable housing, education, job training and career readiness.
Your donation will be used to purchase gift cards that will be distributed this holiday season to families that access Wellspring’s programs and services.
Founded in 1981, Wellspring was one of the first nonprofits in Massachusetts to offer a physical home as a family shelter where parents and children could start to recover from homelessness. In our first 25 years, we focused on housing production as a means to help families. Up through 2006, we partnered with landowners to establish more than 10 affordable housing properties with 140 units each, all of which remain today. Beginning in the early 2000s, Wellspring began offering training programs to help parents obtain jobs with higher wages. Today, we employ a strategy that is rare amongst our peers: we maintain core offerings of shelter, crisis intervention, and homelessness prevention ALONGSIDE AND WITHIN all other education, job training and education programs. This means that every year 1,200 families and young adults in our programs have the best opportunity possible to achieve true financial security and a healthy quality of life.
Thank you for sharing our vision of making dreams come true this holiday season! Your donation leaves a lasting impact for the families we serve in the Wellspring community across the North Shore.
