CELESONG: LIFTING VOICES THROUGH SONG & STORYTELLING
Friday, June 7, 2024 | 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
On Friday, June 7, 2024, join Wellspring at our Spring celebration, Celesong, for an intimate musical evening in the tradition of a Nashville-style songwriters’ round featuring acclaimed singer-songwriters Darrell Scott and Hayley Reardon. You’re invited to partner with us at our annual fundraising event celebrate your commitment to helping local families transform their lives through stable housing, education, job training, and career readiness.
Darrell Scott
Darrell Scott is an acclaimed multi-instrumentalist / singer-songwriter and Nashville Songwriter hall of Fame nominee. His songs have been performed by Travis Tritt, Faith Hill, The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks), and many others. A former ASCAP and NSAI Songwriter of the Year, Scott has garnered many accolades, Nathaniel Riverhorse Nakadate writes, “Darrell Scott mines and cultivates the everyday moment, taking the rote, menial, mundane, and allowing it to be surreal, ever poignant, and candidly honest.”
Hayley Reardon
Hayley Reardon is a critically acclaimed folk pop artist and storyteller raised in Massachusetts. Hayley won the Gloucester 400+ singer-songwriter competition in 2023. After three years in Nashville, Reardon spent the past six years carrying her songs and guitar all over the globe – including a six-month artist residency stay in Dachau, Germany – gathering experiences, inspiration and soulful connections that are reflected in her ever-deepening music.

Community Lyric Project
Celesong is about lifting voices through the power of song. Music inspires us to move forward, helps us cope, and allows us to celebrate life’s beautiful moments. Songs become the soundtrack of our lives, elevating us through challenging times and embracing us in our happiest days. At Celesong, help us create a community soundtrack by contributing a lyric that holds special meaning for you to Wellspring’s Lyric Quilt.
This project is inspired and made possible by our friends at Red Barn Architecture.

Meet Wellspring’s Celesong Co-Chairs
I continue to be amazed by Wellspring’s staff and leadership and the work they do day-in and day-out in service to our diverse North Shore community! Built on a foundation of over 40 years of hospitality, Wellspring House addresses community needs through a holistic and comprehensive systems-lens strategy. Partnering with other organizations is not just in Wellspring’s nature to be collaborative; it’s also necessary. It’s a community-care-centered model implemented with intention, where everyone connects back to their humanity and where dignity thrives.
I take great pride in my ongoing support and volunteer work with Wellspring House. My dedication stems from a deep passion for their mission of homelessness prevention. What initially drew me to their cause was the comprehensive approach they take, offering a full spectrum of services to support and educate their community, ultimately transforming lives in the process.
Wellspring’s Celesong is a zero-waste event, using sustainable best practices thanks to our friends at Black Earth Compost.
