Celebrating Wellspring’s 40 Years with Voices of Belonging, Immigration Stories in Light & Sound Presented with Harbor Voices Public Art.

In early May 2022, Wellspring in partnership with Harbor Voices Public Art presented “Voices of Belonging-Immigration Stories in Light and Sound” to celebrate 40 years of innovative and bold programming to help families, adults and young adults across the North Shore achieve financial security. Lights, Camera…Voices! Hear the moving and inspiring stories of several students and program participants, and learn how Wellspring is the place where people get the support needed to make their dreams real in our short video.

WAYS TO SUPPORT

-MAKE A SPECIAL DONATION IN HONOR OF WELLSPRING’S ANNIVERSARY
If you haven’t already, please consider making a donation online in honor of Wellspring’s 40th Year. As our Executive Director Melissa Dimond shared during Friday night’s welcoming remarks, Wellspring is committed to meeting all members of our community where they are, and to being by their side for however long (and for whatever) they need. Donations from individuals provide Wellspring the opportunity to continue that flexibility. If you prefer sending a check, please mail to Wellspring, 302 Essex Ave. Gloucester, MA 01930.

-STAY CONNECTED
Follow Wellspring on social media to stay up to date on what’s happening. Here is a link to the Facebook and you can find them on Twitter at @wellspring302 and on Instagram at @wellspringhouse. Sign up to receive Wellspring’s eblasts.

-CONTINUE TO BUILD BELONGING
Commit to personal ways you can help build belonging throughout the community. Here are some ideas to consider:

Expand your circle. Make an effort to know and be known. Make conversation and meet new people. Encourage and support your children to get involved.

Be mindful of others. Make room for newcomers in your groups, at work, in neighborhoods, and places of gathering.

Keep learning. Visit the Sawyer Free Library and ask a librarian for book suggestions to dig deeper into creating a community of belonging.

Practice an attitude of acceptance and recognize that others have different ways of being, which don’t have to change you.

Volunteer & get involved in supportive non-profits like Wellspring House.
