Wellspring House is guided by the vision of a just society where every member of our community thrives. Our mission is to inspire families and adults on the North Shore to achieve employment and financial security through stable housing, education, job training and career readiness. Wellspring House is seeking applications for positions on our Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is the governing body of Wellspring and is responsible for supporting and overseeing the fulfillment of Wellspring’s mission to the community, setting direction for Wellspring through strategic planning, providing financial oversight and ensuring that Wellspring has the resources to carry out its mission. Board members serve three-year terms beginning in July and are eligible for re-election to a second three-year term. The board meets as a full group six to eight times a year, and board members are also expected to serve on at least one board committee.

All applications will be reviewed by Wellspring’s Governance Committee, and candidates will be contacted by the committee to be considered for approval by the full board. The selection of candidates is driven by the desire to ensure that the board is comprised of engaged leaders, with a connection to Eastern Essex County, who bring diverse perspectives and lived experiences and a range of essential skills that support the work of the Board’s standing committees – Governance, Finance and Asset Management, and Development and Communications. We are seeking applicants with skills and experience in healthcare, finance, housing, law and workforce development, but all applications are welcome.
