Wellspring’s 21st Annual Luncheon is Monday, May 6, 2019
Wellspring’s 21st Annual Luncheon will take place on Monday, May 6, 2019, with keynote speaker, Helen Riess, M.D., author of The Empathy Effect: Seven Neuroscience-Based Keys for Transforming the Way We Live, Love, Work, and Connect Across Differences.
Dr. Riess is a psychiatrist and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Empathy and Relational Science Program in the Department of Psychiatry at MGH, and founder of Empathetics, Inc.. Dr. Riess will use her unique perspective and understanding of empathy to illustrate the importance of authentic relationships and their role in creating successful outcomes, an approach that Wellspring uses in guiding students and parents to move forward in their lives.
Wellspring is a non-profit organization in Gloucester, Massachusetts, that works to alleviate poverty on the North Shore through basic needs assistance, education and job training. Proceeds from the Luncheon go to support of Wellspring’s homelessness prevention, shelter, education and job training programs.
The Luncheon takes place from 11:30am – 2:00pm on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, located at 50 Ferncroft Road, Danvers, MA.
