Most known for songs, “Sand and Water,” and “The Color of Roses,” she has also written numerous No. 1 and Top 10 songs recorded by artists including Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, Emmylou Harris, and Tanya Tucker.
