Dear Friends,

Thank you for being part of the Wellspring community. In moments like this, your support means so much.

Across our region, too many parents and young adults are carrying impossible weight—rising housing costs, higher grocery bills, transportation challenges, childcare needs, and constant financial uncertainty. Many are doing everything right and still struggling to get ahead.

At Wellspring, we see these challenges every day. We also see something powerful: when people receive the right support at the right time, hope returns, stability grows, and futures begin to open. That is why financial security is at the heart of our mission.

We know that education and employment matter deeply, but they are often not enough on their own. Progress can unravel quickly when housing is unstable or an unexpected expense pushes a family into crisis. Lasting change requires coordinated, compassionate support that meets the whole person.

Our programs are intentionally integrated—combining homelessness prevention, education, job training, and career advising—to help families and young adults move from crisis to confidence, and from uncertainty to opportunity. This is how we are turning potential into progress every day.

Each year, Wellspring serves more than 2,000 individuals and families across the North Shore. Of those, 580+ families and young adults receive intensive support as they work toward safer, more hopeful futures.

Bethany first came to Wellspring as a young mother with an infant son and no stable housing. With dedicated, personalized support—from shelter to housing stability to career training—she secured permanent housing, completed Wellspring’s Healthcare Office Support Training, and built a full-time healthcare career, now earning more than 50% above her previous wages. As she prepares for her next credential, her story shows what is possible when support is consistent, compassionate, and long-term. Because of you, stories like Bethany’s are possible.

As I often say, you can’t pursue a higher-wage career unless you have the stability of a home. At Wellspring, we are experts at both—and your generosity powers this transformational work.

Wellspring relies on people like you—and the generosity of the greater community. When other funding sources are uncertain, your support matters even more. It helps us meet growing need and sustain essential services across 20 cities and towns—from Gloucester to Salem and Ipswich to Lynn, and everywhere in between. Without you, this work would not be possible.

As we approach fiscal year-end, please make your gift today to Wellspring’s Spring Appeal—supporting families and young adults with the stability and opportunity they need to move forward.

Together—rooted in community and driven by impact—we are turning potential into progress, one neighbor at a time. Thank you for believing in Wellspring.

With gratitude,
Melissa Dimond
