Robert Clark Rogers Educational Opportunity Fund

This fund has assisted 69 students in achieving their goals of higher education, awarding $70,490 since 2006.  Started by Robert “Bob” Rogers and Frank Robinson in 2001, the fund was inspired by Bob’s experience growing up in a single parent home and understanding what a difference higher education can make.

Wellspring sponsored candidates must:

  • Have successfully completed a Wellspring House educational program
  • Be formally enrolled in a college or job training program
  • Complete an application and interview

Awarded funds may be used towards education related expenses such as transportation costs, books, or computers. Awards are made once a year in during the Fall.

One Family Scholars

The One Family Scholars program values higher education as the surest pathway to family self-sufficiency.

Scholarships Picture 2Wellspring took a chance on me when I felt I didn’t deserve one. The value of education has been instilled in our family with support and mentorship every step of the way. The One Family Scholar Program gave me a monthly stipend for childcare and travel cost as well as tuition for summer courses. This allowed me to earn my degree quicker and get a head start on my Bachelor’s degree. More education changed my life. I went from barely making it while working three jobs to one job I Iove that provides for my family. It is never too late. Where there is a will, there is a way.
