On Friday, June 6, 2025, join Wellspring at our Spring celebration, Celesong, for an incredible musical evening in the tradition of a Nashville-style songwriters’ round featuring acclaimed singer-songwriters Darrell Scott, Lori McKenna, and Mark Erelli. You are invited to partner with us at our annual fundraising event and celebrate your commitment to helping local families transform their lives through stable housing, education, job training, and career readiness. This year, we are excited to hold our Spring event at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA for an intimate, unforgettable experience. With just 330 seats, the state-of-the-art Shalin Liu Performance Center brings you closer to the music, creating a powerful connection with the artists.
Darrell Scott
Darrell Scott is an acclaimed multi-instrumentalist/singer-songwriter and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame nominee. His songs have been performed by Travis Tritt, Faith Hill, The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks), and many others. A former ASCAP and NSAI Songwriter of the Year, Scott has garnered many accolades, Nathaniel Riverhorse Nakadate writes, “Darrell Scott mines and cultivates the everyday moment, taking the rote, menial, mundane, and allowing it to be surreal, ever poignant, and candidly honest.”
Lori McKenna
Lori McKenna, a celebrated Boston-based songwriter and solo artist, has become a powerhouse in both the Nashville songwriting scene and the folk/country world. Known for her evocative lyrics, McKenna has earned multiple Grammy Awards and accolades, including back-to-back wins for Best Country Song. Her latest album 1988 continues a series of acclaimed releases. She co-wrote hits for Taylor Swift, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, and more, cementing her legacy as a defining voice in modern country.
Mark Erelli
Mark Erelli is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his distinctive blend of rock, folk, and Americana. With 13 solo albums, three records with his bluegrass band Barnstar!, and collaborations with artists like Paula Cole, Josh Ritter, and Lori McKenna, Erelli’s music is celebrated for its lyrical depth and intricate instrumentation. His latest album, Lay Your Darkness Down, explores his journey with retinitis pigmentosa, addressing personal themes and creative resilience.
