“It’s For the Kids”

I saw a mom pushing her babystroller in the freezing rain down Essex Avenue. She had walked 1 ½ miles to come to Wellspring’s Holiday Store. I chided her about the dangerous conditions. She looked me straight in the eye and said, “It’s for the kids.”

This mom is all grit and grace. She is determined to provide a better life for her family.

You did that. You did your part and helped to make a better life for the 256 families who came to shop for their 533 children. Plus the 100 families and their 160 children who are homeless and living in a local motel: That’s 693 children. You made the magic possible.

Thank you to all who helped and are determined to make life better for all. This note from the “R” family:

“Thanks for your good hearts. I really appreciate your kindness. It’s a very great feeling when you know there’s good people out there that can bring hope and happiness to families and kids.”

May your holiday season be filled with the same joy you have given to many!
