Basic Needs and Homeless Prevention Services

Advocacy & Homeless Prevention Fund

Wellspring’s Homeless Prevention Fund is a resource for families in crisis and who need a one-time financial assistance in order to stay in stable housing.

In order to be eligible for this one-time assistance a family must be:

  • An adult with a child(ren) under 18 years of age in custody living with the adult.
  • A resident of Cape Ann (Gloucester, Manchester, Ipswich, Rockport, Magnolia, Essex).
  • A family on the verge of becoming homeless. The financial assistance that we give is for the purpose of keeping the family from being forced from their home; assistance paying one month’s rent, a security deposit, a car payment, a medical bill, or an electric bill.

If you think you may be eligible for this assistance you may call our Homeless Prevention Fund line at 978-281-3221, ext. 318.

Messages received on the line are returned within 72 hours Monday through Friday. If a potential family does not meet our criteria they will be referred to other resources in order to meet their needs.
